My experience in education is diverse. As an elementary classroom teacher, a school counselor, a coach of both boy's and girl's sports for over twenty-five years, I have been blessed with a wealth of experience!   I integrate experience to work for families and students, who benefit from my dedicated attention and compassionate approach.

As an Educational Coach, I meet with families to help improve a child's overall school experience. From parents, I gather an educational history and identify strengths and concerns for their child. After conducting informal assessments, I guide the family in prioritizing areas of growth and setting goals.  I help students create and maintain a structured homework routine, teach learning strategies specific to the students individual needs.  I coach parents how to effectively communicate with teachers, counselors, and administrators.

While meeting individually with the student, I build a trusting, supportive relationship. Together, the student and I explore the student's attitude toward learning and success, and their role in the challenges they're facing. We identify their unique individual learning style and create a menu with a variety of study strategies matching this learning style. In partnership with the student, we create a plan to improve Executive Functioning Skills.
